My First Brioche Pattern
Hiya, The Briochealuscious shawl has been on my "Make List" for a long time. I love big shawls and this was an interesting garment which the brioche stitch.
I started with yarn that I purchased from Noble Character Crafts called Glade.
I surrounded it with various lovely colors from Alegria, MadelinTosh, and Claudia.
I instructions are well written by sections so it makes it easy to follow the stripes, short rows, speckles, and brioche. 👍
Since this is my first project with the brioche stitch, I made a few mistakes in the increase at both ends of the shawl and a few in the middle. By the time a reached the second brioche section, I made few mistakes and was able to correct some of them. They are only noticeable if you look closely. 😃Nothing like putting your unique stamp on your knitting items.
Although I am almost finished with this shawl, I am not happy with the colors that I have selected. Therefore, I am going to "unravel" and "frog" this project until I identify a more pleasing combination of colors.
I love the pattern and would make it again.
