Hiya,





As you know, I was determined to do more knitting from my stash in 2019 and I will continue to do so in the new year as well.  

To that end, I had a single skein of mohair yarn in various colors.  I didn't know what to do with them; but, I knew that I did not want to discard them all.


I found a pattern a free pattern by Beata Jezek called Outline.  It is a simple construction and a very easy knit.  The pattern was enjoyable knit and provided a wonderful knitting rhythm. 



Although it is suggested to use yarns of similar weight, I decided to use the mohair from my stash.
In addition, I did not follow the pattern suggested color sequence.

I think it turned out pretty good.

Hiya,   Since the quarantine started, I have ventured into the world of the "Knit-A-Long".  A knitalong (KAL) is when many knitters work on their own version of the same pattern at the same time.  My first KAL was with Marie Green.  Knitting along with a group from my LYS, we worked together with the pattern as it was broken down into steps.  The pace kept me on track so that I was able to finish the sweater while before the deadline. So, I decided to join another one!!  This time with one of my favorite designers - Joji Locatelli.  I have a number of her designs on my "things to knit" list.  Note:  My "things to knit" list are projects with the pattern and yarn already purchased - another "knit from stash project"  YEAH!!! TEALEAF SWEATER - FINALLY DONE

Hiya, I have finally finished the Craftsy's Tealeaf Sweater by Bristol Ivy. The construction of the sweater is unique - which is what you can expect from Bristol.  It is intended to be worn with approximately 13 1⁄2” positive ease.  This enable the garment to be loose-fitting and drapey; however, the sleeves are knitted to fit snuggly around the arms.   Knitting this sweater was pretty easy.  The lace pattern was simple to remember; however, knitting the saddle shoulders with the front and back pieces was a little tricky; i.e., live stitches on front, back and the saddle stitches.   It is a little too big.  I have found this to be true for another of knitters; nevertheless, the results are WONDERFUL!!!   I will definitely make another one - I will try the smaller size!!. SUMMA STRIPES SHAWL

Hiya, af ter working on a lace and cable cardigan, I wanted to knit something that would not tax my brain or hands.   I selected the Summa Stripes Shawl by Meiju K-P on Ravelry.   The shawl is knitted from side to side; but, in two different directions.  The shape is achieved with increases and short-rows.  There is minimal finishing needed which was another plus; especially after the detailed finishing on the cardigan. This seemed an easy project to get completed and it would use up some of my stash yarn.   So....after a little bit of searching, I found a couple of skeins for MadelineTosh DK (Electric Rainbow) and I paired it with yellow and black.   The only modification that I have made to the scarf has been to change the strip section.  I alternated black and yellow stripes.
