Elena's Second Sweater

Hiya!!

Well, with my little granddaughter growing so quickly.  My daughter has requested more sweaters.  Therefore, I better get a moving. I started another sweater set from Karen Ashton-Mills (www.angelknits.co.uk) called Blessings.

This pattern is just as unique, just like others from her catalogue.  There are multiple designs for the bottom half of the coat.
I have selected to knit the "third" version.  This pattern starts with knitting the sleeves which are quick and easy.  These I got done in a few hours.


Well, I have almost completed this new sweater for Elena.  I just have to complete sewing it together and add the front bands.  This has taken my approximately 15 hours to knit.  I am excited that I am able to get a project completed so fast..


I just need to sew the buttons, block it a little and package it up and sending it along with the another that I have started.😀.

Hiya,   Since the quarantine started, I have ventured into the world of the "Knit-A-Long".  A knitalong (KAL) is when many knitters work on their own version of the same pattern at the same time.  My first KAL was with Marie Green.  Knitting along with a group from my LYS, we worked together with the pattern as it was broken down into steps.  The pace kept me on track so that I was able to finish the sweater while before the deadline. So, I decided to join another one!!  This time with one of my favorite designers - Joji Locatelli.  I have a number of her designs on my "things to knit" list.  Note:  My "things to knit" list are projects with the pattern and yarn already purchased - another "knit from stash project"  YEAH!!! TEALEAF SWEATER - FINALLY DONE

Hiya, I have finally finished the Craftsy's Tealeaf Sweater by Bristol Ivy. The construction of the sweater is unique - which is what you can expect from Bristol.  It is intended to be worn with approximately 13 1⁄2” positive ease.  This enable the garment to be loose-fitting and drapey; however, the sleeves are knitted to fit snuggly around the arms.   Knitting this sweater was pretty easy.  The lace pattern was simple to remember; however, knitting the saddle shoulders with the front and back pieces was a little tricky; i.e., live stitches on front, back and the saddle stitches.   It is a little too big.  I have found this to be true for another of knitters; nevertheless, the results are WONDERFUL!!!   I will definitely make another one - I will try the smaller size!!. SUMMA STRIPES SHAWL

Hiya, af ter working on a lace and cable cardigan, I wanted to knit something that would not tax my brain or hands.   I selected the Summa Stripes Shawl by Meiju K-P on Ravelry.   The shawl is knitted from side to side; but, in two different directions.  The shape is achieved with increases and short-rows.  There is minimal finishing needed which was another plus; especially after the detailed finishing on the cardigan. This seemed an easy project to get completed and it would use up some of my stash yarn.   So....after a little bit of searching, I found a couple of skeins for MadelineTosh DK (Electric Rainbow) and I paired it with yellow and black.   The only modification that I have made to the scarf has been to change the strip section.  I alternated black and yellow stripes.
